Live Music – Okay Two Things – August 13

Okay Two Things is an acoustic duo comprised of Canaan Gibbs and Tanner Caldwell. Canaan and Tanner met while students at SIUE, playing trumpet and saxophone respectively. They became friends through being classmates and then coworkers on the St. Louis music scene as horn players, most notably in the premier event band The Red Jackets. In Okay Two Things, Canaan trades his trumpet out for an acoustic guitar, and both Canaan and Tanner get to sing lead, a change of pace from their normal gig as horn players. Canaan and Tanner have concocted a mix of folk, rock, pop and r&b in their sets, and a whole lot of creativity and comedy pull it all together. You’re sure to hear songs you’ve loved your whole life and you’re also sure to be surprised by what this acoustic duo with a saxophone has up its sleeves!
